WE MAKE TIMELESS, FUN, COMFY FURNITURE FOR BUSY SPACES

Culture Cush pieces are a nod to the past.

They are an ode to a time when colours were unafraid to go out of trend and an unwritten rule that if you pay for something it will do as it intended.

Our modules allow for multiple configurations and a choice between eight delicious, durable velvets.

We’ve worked really hard in our design and make process to use materials with a lower-tox status and unbreakable foundations.

Designed and made in Australia, always.

What our customers SAY

We have had our couch for over 12 months now and have been thrilled with it. Really comfortable and has a wonderful high quality feel. Rei has been a delight to work with throughout the process and we love the local first approach to the manufacturing. Would 100% recommend.

— Max, Merewether

I highly recommend this beautiful company - it is rare to find a furniture maker these days that truly cares about the sustainability and quality of their product. Reioni was an absolute delight to deal with from start to finish in making my couch, and I couldn't be happier. I loved supporting local, but the entire Australian furniture market should be on watch for this up and coming business.

— Ali, Hamilton NSW

Love our couch so so much! We ordered a 5 piece in Forest Green. Service was exceptional - Reioni delivered it herself from Newcastle to Brisbane. It is so comfortable, versatile (can be turned into a king bed) and durable, which we needed with 3 small kids. Easy to clean - we just use a lint roller occasionally for dust. So happy with our purchase.

MEET THE MAKER

/FOUNDER

Hey, I’m Reioni.

I’m a furniture upholsterer.  Like most people in unusual trades my path here was pretty curvy.

I spent my teens trawling through treasure in op shops and wearing my Mum’s old 70s tee’s. In comparison, newer stuff just wasn’t as great.

Through a uni degree, years of overseas travel and many jobs I always found myself pulled in the direction of making and re-inventing. I’d alter vintage clothes to sell at markets, smash old plates to make tile mosaics and basically experiment with any craft I hadn’t tried.

After coming home after years working overseas it felt wrong for me to pursue anything other than a need to combine my great loves - A passion for vintage, crafting with my hands, diverting junk treasure from landfill and working with my favourite medium, textiles.
